This site came highly recommended by Mucker, and it certainly did not disappoint.
Very nice and clean facilities with helpful staff; well-stocked shop and an on-site coffee shop that served homecooked food and delicious homemade cakes and sweet treats. They also served wood-fired pizzas on certain days (currently Saturdays only).
Good to meet up with purplebean at the site nearly 10 years since we last met up in Devizes C&CC.
Also met up with Mucker and Muckerette for a meal in a pub nearby.
Bean had a good time and enjoyed his walks.
The windbreak was put up to minimise him barking at every dog that walked past our pitch.
Good rock pegs are definitely required as their hardstanding pitches do not have grass at all, as mentioned on their website. However, they are massive and well-spaced.
All in all, a good trip.
Just a few photos from the trip.

Almost a regular haunt for us "back in the day", but it's been a while since my recommendations and reviews, as we tend to venture further afield nowadays, so first off, glad to see the site owners aren't letting things slip, and that it's still getting the thumbs up from current visitors. Well done to them!
Was great to meet up with you and Bean again the other evening, 10 months on from our meet up in Sandbanks. One of you has definitely grown a couple of inches, and calmed down a little!
Shame we couldn't have got our timing better for us to have met up (again) with Purplebean too. Another time, hopefully.
Glad you had a great time up here in Derbyshire, and are now safely home. Pics look great!
Hopefully see you again soon.
Hugs from us both.

Your photo of the Millers Dale poster brought back memories!
I'm from that area of Derbyshire originally, Chinley to be specific - a small village but also once a key station for changing trains to/from London - and a big treat as a small child would be to go from Chinley to Buxton on the (steam) train with my Granny, and we had to change at Millers Dale.
Not thought about that for years!
I am heading to Derbyshire in September: Hankin Farm near Crich, a friends event and then a couple of days walking, reliving my childhood and youth which was spent Youth Hostelling through the Peak District, Climbing Club days on the edges, DoE expeditions catching the Friday evening bus from Nottingham to Bakewell or Matlock, family days in Dovedale.
