Like the “Rankers” app that is so popular in New Zealand. Now that would be a great idea.

I just put the mobile version of website onto my phone screen. The icon is there now, like an app.

In case anyone is not aware of the Rankers app let me explain a little.

It is claimed to contain every site in NZ and shown on a map. It also includes other useful information for the tourist, dump stations, shopping,attractions and site reviews. To some extent, it can work as a sat nav but not as good as Google maps.

We were in NZ at the end of 2019 and found this so useful. Take a look at the Rankers website.

Hiya, this site is completely mobile responsive and fully usable on your phone / device. It can find your location, you can choose your requirements, find your sites, read and submit reviews etc.

So whilst there is not an app, as such, the website functions fully on devices as an app would, and all for free too.
