When I insert a hyperlink all appears ok when I preview post hovering pointer over link revealls the address in the address bar at the bottom of the page. Now sometimes the address bar shows www. ukcampsite, then www. address of link. and will not work and other times just address of link appears and works ok.
Sorry if this is hard to follow.
Am I doing something wrong?

NO
BOX DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THAT AT ALL.

First box type word, no problem.
second box type or paste link address, ok no problem

When previewing post I click on link and address shows www.ukcampsite.co.uk....followed by link address.ie www.my website.co.uk
this produces an error message, I assume the www.ukcampsite.co.uk should not be there, only the link address?

When you get the second box to insert your URL, does it have anything in it to start with ? For me, there is just http:// highlighted, which I replace entirely with my own pasted link. What, if anything, is in your box ?
I did a test link in this post and previewed it (then removed it before posting), it was as it should be ie no UKCS bit at the front so I dont think the 'preview' is wrong. Also, which web browser (and version) do you use, incase it is a setting in that which is automatically completing the input box for you (this is an option on some browsers).

You need to include the http:// bit when you type in the address in the 2nd box
Cheers
