could i suggest somewhere on tent site reviews a section wher tenters could put what type of pegs needed  ie :-hard ground,soft, sandy, etc? just a thought for those of use who have not yet got all differant types of pegs

Get delta ones lol they will sort you and you get a discount if you mention this site

i wouldnt worry too much as it will vary, even ofr a specific site, with the time of year, weather etc.

Anyway, with the exception of one site this summer (where the ground was hard as concrete and i simply couldn't get pegs in) the normal pegs (and yes i do use plastic delta pegs for guys) have been fine.

I did buy a set of rock pegs which i take as a contingency - simply because i never again want to have to cancel a night away due to hard ground ........but as i say, its one exception in 4 years of camping
