There's a new device on the market which uses air pressure to completely drain your 'van's water pipes. Trouble is it costs over £40.00!!I   Made my own with a few bits and pieces from the garden shed and one bit of kit from my local caravan dealer costing £4.99.  I also obtained a used car tyre valve from the local tyre depot. Got it for free as they fit a new valve every time they change a tyre.   Use a hose fitting - hozelock or similar - place the valve into the tap end of the fitting and secure with the screw ring.Fit a short length of hose to the other end of the fitting - about 15cm will be fine- and fit an adaptor suitable for your 'van to the other end (this cost £4.99) - secure with a hose clip. Attach the adaptor to your water inlet  .Close all taps and the drain down tap. Using an air pump inflate to a max of 15psi. Then open one tap. If they are mixer taps do the hot and cold separately. Watch out here -  it splashes a lot!!   Close the tap, reinflate the system and move on to the next tap. Finally draining through the draindown tap.  I got nearly a litre of water out of the system so less chance of damage by freezing.
