Hello there, as e newbie but now not a virginal camper and member of this wonderrful and informative web site I have got absolutely no idea how to put photos on here'

firstly, upload them to a hosting site like photobucket. Then copy the link provided. On your post hit the picture icon above (looks like a postcard) then paste the link from your hosting site into the pop up box

Or again using photobucket upload your pics click on an uploaded pic (they will be stored in library) and on the right hand side of the page will be 4 links click on the IMG code link and then paste it into your post click preview post and you should find your pic is in your post

By way of further explanation, you cannot upload photos direct to this site (apart from I think your Gallery). The photos have to already be somewhere else on the web, hence the suggestion in the posts to load them into photobucket. I've never got around to trying it myself but I've always understood any photo hosting website would work.
There are loads of threads about this subject, but the granddady of them is Insert a Photo. It will take you through it step by step.
