I find it a little frustrating, when searching French campsites (eg), that it is not possible to refine searches in the same way as is offered for UK sites.
For instance:
A must for us is either riverside or lakeside sites to facilitate launching of kayaks ... and biking info eg proximity of voies vertes etc.
It means having to trawl through reviews, trying to glean info ... and not all would post things that may not be of interest to them.
All reviews I submit have relevant info re above ... none have managed to transfer that info to the list of amenities ... indeed, the list does not include riverside/lakeside pitches (cf UK sites), and whether boating is an option ... many rivers are not navigable ...
Rant over ... but, surely not that difficult to add some more items in the availability list?

Thank you for the feedback, and do you mean like the French campsite search here that allows you to choose Riverside etc?

Can you clarify what you mean please, all filters are available whether you are searching UK or France, there is no difference
Ah, edit, I guess you might mean the info itself isn't available on all the French listings - this a work in progress, we are trying to update them, however we've noticed French site owners themselves aren't as proactive as UK ones at updating them, so we have to manually trawl through most of them.

I've never used this so tried to find one of my favourite sites Camping La Citadelle at Loches, but it didn't come up - the reason was because it shows no pool when in fact it has an outdoor and a covered pool - can that be amended?

Sorry for late response.
To further clarify.
Though you can input 'Waterside' into the French sites search ... it is very unspecific ... often sites that are near-ish water add that in ... other that may be on a river/lake will add it ... but what is missing is whether the water is beatable/paddle/sail or any detail ...
This means a long time trying to drill down to find out ... I need to have access to kayak-able water ... and ... preferably direct from site.
If that were part of the search 'narrowing down' process it would be a huge help to finding potential sites for us.
Maybe if the Watersports availability box from site descriptions were to appear in the refinement area, then that would help?
