I entered the competition to win tickets for NEC. I've received an email saying I've won two, how do I know if its genuine. Its from someone called Edie at we are plaster. Has anyone else ever won? Or can the mods help me?

We were not fortunate enough to win tickets so I bought a couple for Friday. Hotel booked about a month ago just to make sure. In fact, we are having an extra day so we can visit a nearby NT house. May as well make a decent break of it.

All been a bit manic for us sorting dog-sitting but we're sorted now. Staying at Tamworth rather than going central Birmingham. What's the parking like at the NEC?

Plenty of parking but usually quite a long walk to the entrance, although there is a bus service around the car parks. Also quite long queues of cars.

We are staying at Meriden, just a short drive from the NEC, but we are contemplating using the local bus that passes the hotel and calls at the station.

I see what you mean about the walk! We stayed at the Premier Inn in Tamworth which was a good location to get there. Enjoyed the show, invested in a dog G8 and a fire safety stick.

Were you staying at Somers Wood? Lots seem to stay there for NEC. We've booked a night there in May, on way to Old Oaks, looks nice.
