I use the "New Posts" facility a lot but after a few mins of browsing through the ones I haven't seen since last visit they "disappear" and insteade the "acive" posts appear.
Best thing to do is open them in a new window. In fact I've changed it so it now opens them in a new one automatically. That may help it loosing where it is on the list of new posts.
What I tend to do is open each thread I want to look at, and leave it open, moving down the list, and through the pages until the end. Only then do I read the threads opened in the new windows - makes sure that the latest posts page doesn't loose it's place, particularly if there are a few pages of new posts. ( only downside is you end up with loads of windows open ) Hope that makes sense!

Thats the way I do it as well Ian, gets a bit much when there has been a few days when I haven't been on, but at least I keep me place! I think its called multi-tasking or somat like that! Ah well, back to work!
Um, and I thought it was me. I always use the new posts only method. Much preferred the old system where you could use the back arrow to get back to the listing.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem as Terry, even though posts now open in a new window. When I log in I look through the new posts since my last visit - which it does show correctly at first - but then it will (erratically - not always) re-set itself when I click on a new page to show the time of my last visit as the current time, so I lose the unseen pages that were left. Any solution?
I noticed it has started doing that to me too Sid, i go to new posts since.........whenever...........I can be on page 3 of 7 then it resets to no pages!!

Mine keeps restting when I get to page 4. I don't start reading till I've got to the end and I open them all in new windows.
But my problem is that I can't get to OPEN the windows in the first place, 'cos the stoopid thing resets to show the time of my last vist as the current time when I'm only part way through going through, say, half a dozen pages since my real last visit. I click on page 4, for example, and instead of opening the threads on that page it bumps me to showing posts since my "last" visit of a second ago!
