I am getting more frustrated with this site as there seems to be more and more people advertising their camp sites but dont allow tents or campervans. I.E 'statics only available'. As this is supposed to be the UK Camp Site and the logo shows a tent and a portable caravan I would suggest they throw off any site on this web site that does not allow tents or touring caravans. I would be really interested to hear anyone's comments about this. I have contacted the UK Camp Site Office so if I get a response i will post it up.

Camping is camping regardless of unit type, be it caravan, tent, motorhome, trailer tent, folding camper or static, UKCampsite caters for all.

When i'm looking for sites, sometimes the site has a page on here showing that it takes tents trailers tourers etc. then when you take the link to their own site they are actually a residential site advertising mobile homes for sale. Just using this site as free advertising.
i'm dead....watch me go with the flow.............
Notify Webby so he can edit his listing. I know that the camp sites list was the biggest 'chore' when setting up this site, and if we don't notify him of changes, how is he gong to know?
Thanks for that Rizzo. I have emailed them on a couple of occasions and done a review airing my complaint none of which have found their way onto the web site and my comments were never answered all of which makes me wonder if there is dark work afoot......
Yeah, real dark work ..... you emailed us oo, almost 24 hours ago, and we havent answered .......
Your observation must apply to a tiny percentage of the thousands of sites we list. Let us know if a listing shows the wrong units and we will amend the listing
I had emailed you prior to that on a couple of occasions a few months ago but like i said my reveiws were not posted or commented on. I am very sorry you did not receive them and please don't think i'm having a dig. It must be difficult to keep an operation this size up to date Sometimes servers are down and I not everything does get through all the time. I have just checked my emails and I did get a reply from Ian for this issue for which I am grateful and appreciative.
Yes I agree, It is a small percentage, I was just commenting, as I hoped it was not going to become a trend. This is always the first site i come to when i want info on camp sites and camping. I was concerned that's all, wanted to see if others had noticed and had anything to say. That is the point of message boards isnt it? I would just encourage anyone who see's such sites to inform you. but I will think twice about posting a message again.
No, it's not that difficult, if you send us an email advising that a listing is wrong we will amend it straight away.
Nothing to do with servers going down or any other reason. We dont respond to reviews if you want to tell us something email us !!!
As for it becoming a trend, utter tripe of course. It not a small percentage, it's a tiny percentage. And when people tell us a listing is wrong instead of whinging on here, we can correct it, and the searches will get more accurate, not less
