Hi! I have a Berlingo Multispace with boot jump and have now got a boot awning (not driveaway)
Has anyone used strong magnets to help keep an awning attached snugly to the boot entrance?
I have been looking on Amazon and there’s so much choice was hoping someone had already tried and achieved
Many thanks ☺️

Not used one but someone may have.
I intended to use a motor home awning with the car but it was easier to use it as a sperate unit, on site threw the tunnel section over the boot in the rain emptied car and set set up in the awning. didn't have to line up after being out in car every time. Also got grief off other half about the draught coming in awning from under the car.

Some companies sell them as a basic roof clamp, some include other fittings, or you can buy a really useful accessory pack (which I did) which includes bungee cords, metal 'S' pieces, and clamps, to fit onto the front of the awning. Then I attach a non-elastic cord to both the awning clamps and the roof clamp.
I love the Caranex as a car awning: it has a sewn-in rear bumper skirt which eliminates those under-car draughts! Also a stand-alone kit and a sewn-in groundsheet.

Whoops, I don't think the link is working: the product is called 'Suction Anchor Plus'. You can still buy them from ebay and probably other sources too.
