Oft overlooked, but a parallel constraint to EHU rating for electrical appliances in caravans/MHs. Your '13A' domestic type power sockets in a caravan/MH are usually really only max 10A (2.4kW) power sockets because they are protected by a 10A circuit breaker on the electric supply panel! So a single or combination of plugged in appliances SHOULD not exceed 2.4kW!
A 16A EHU is totally academic in terms of what max power appliance you can run, it'll be 10A anyway! BUT, it makes a difference to what ELSE you can run at the same time as a high powered appliance! A 10A EHU would only supply say a 2.4kW air fryer and nothing else!
There are a number of things normally 'running in the background' drawing power from the EHU as well. The battery charger, fridge, and although nominally 12v devices, things like lights, pumps, heating/cooling fans, TV etc., are adding a load to the EHU as well, as powered by a 240-12v power converter, so cannot be overlooked. The exact load is difficult to state definitively, as quite a few variables at play, like the fridge is on a thermostat, so will not draw max load all the time, and the battery charger again will draw different loads depending on state of charge of the battery. Allowing 0.5kW (2A) should cover most of those loads.
Of course, electric heating, water heaters, microwaves, electric hob on the stove etc. are high demand items and generally should NOT be used at same time as something like an Air Fryer, at least not until you've done some sums to ensure your accumulative power demands don't exceed the caravan/MH and/or EHU capabilities. Just to complicate things further, some appliances like Microwaves have huge surge demands far in excess of the stated running power, so can be problematic if running in combination with other high demand loads! Also the power rating on the front, say 700W, is the OUTPUT cooking power, the power drawn from the supply will be more like 1.2kW with the surges on top of that!
Plenty of Air Fryers around that are rated at a more reasonable 1.5/1.7kW. A 2.4kW rated one in a caravan/MH is too close to supply limits, and you risk, tripping breakers, or having to be near paranoid about what else is running at the same time!
