Any recommendations for a good quality extra-wide (e.g. 39”) 2/3 season sleeping bag which can be completely unzipped , and whether a sleeping bag liner is worth getting. Planning to use this in caravan instead of conventional sheet/duvet.
We've just bought a double one. It unzips into two.

We liked the idea of being able to flip it if it was hot or cold.
Got an Outdoor Revolution Star Fall midi 400 last year. It's half way between a single and a double, very roomy and toasty. Only used it fully zipped up twice so far as so warm

… and whether a sleeping bag liner is worth getting.
When we used a sleeping bag, we always used a bag liner. I like to feel a clean surface at the start of the trip, rather than smelling last trip’s sweaty nights. Cleaning a full sleeping bag is a faff, ours was too big for our machine, had to go to a laundrette.
No need to buy a liner, a single duvet cover that’s open at the bottom / head works fine. Just put any buttons underneath, away from your face. Or sew up the side of a double sheet.
Can’t poke a leg out though. But if it’s sweltering, you can use the liner on its own.
I have zipped 2 together in the past...but it only really works with the oblong ones rather than 'mummy' shaped.
Although I dislike Go Outdoors, they do a large one.
These days, we take a duvet. Cover the airbed with a mattress cover, then a fitted sheet and go from there. You are adding to the amount of things you pack but oh its so much more comfortable than something you get tangled up in.
