My family tent (8 man, 3 pods) is due for replacement, though is still perfectly useable.
I've heard disaster charities accept old tents and distribute them to people who are in real trouble (eg Pakistan,Haiti, etc)
Does anybody know where and how I could do this.
Glad of any help.
Not sure about the charity route but there is a thread on here from a family in Manchester area who are looking for a tent maybe you could arrange with them to make a donation to charity in exchange for the tent
Oxfam tent to collect tents for distribution worldwide

Millets were doing something last year - they would take your old tent, give a nice discount on new stuff and the tent went to an organisation who checked all there and shipped it off to where it was needed. Not sure if they're still doing this or not.

Not been doing it this year . Last year the old tents were refurbed/ checked out by inmates in Scottish prisons and re-distributed to 'disaster zones '
