That's the RRP. I don't know of anyone who's paid more than £25 for theirs. Some lucky so&so's got theirs for as little as £12.50

Pizza is the thing it most often sees, I can just fit a 10" stone-baked Tesco pizza in there, & it only needs a quick wipe out afterwards.

Great little tool, wouldn't be without it now.

What about Primus style paraffin stoves then. Why has no one suggest using these if you really want to faf about, as they require meths and paraffin and waiting and pumping?

I use them all the time, as I don't take my lap top or internetty type mobile phone with me when camping, so I have plenty of time, as I'm not posting on this forum.

Oh yes, and to answer the second part of the original post. Question was what would I be gaining, answer, another stove init.

I got my duel fuel at a car boot for three pounds, apart from some light surface rust, it looked like new. No scabby rust as shown on the ebay stove

I paid £60 for mine, all battered & dirty, with no instruction manual & no filling funnel. I just missed out on a brand new, old, still boxed one for £40. Just as I purchased mine, the boxed one came back up, re-listed due to time-waster, buy it now for £40!

Absolutely blummin typical!

I still love it though. I wish I'd had the money or time to splash out on the boxed one & put mine back up for auction, but I thought it wasn't worth the bother.

Since they are now retailing at prices in excess of 90gbp wish I bought a dozen and sat on them for a few years, better return than any ISA

To the Op, and anyone else who may be interested.
You could always try to find one of these:

It's an old Optimus 22 paraffin burner, they also did a petrol version which, if I remember correctly was the 22B model.
Differs from the Coleman stove in many ways, but perhaps the most important point is that both burners are the same size, unlike the Coleman, so quite a powerful stove, and of course the are no longer made so bloody difficult to find.

Whatever stove you chose/use ...

What a beauty. I always wished the Coleman had never adopted that "slave burner" system.

2 Completely independently controlled burners from the same tank is much preferable.

I actually have a spare generator. If I could get hold of a spare couple of tanks & some brazing equipment I would be tempted to have a go myself.
I mean, how hard can it be???

It would be nice to have two separate burners that are completely independent of each other.

However, it did not take me long to get the hang of using the slave burner.

Hi spuds,

I'm a bit of a collector, but I have never seen that model of stove before. I am well aware of the single burner versions paraffin/petrol but not that one.
