Ive got one too, the small 1 with screw in gas canisters. I dont really recommend these types because I dont know how long the gas will last, so Ive not been brave enough to cook much on it in case the gas runs out. However, there is an upgrade on the horizon as my mates dad may be selling me his bigger 1 that takes the seperate gas bottles and regulator. Ive no idea what each of them is called but so far, I love my cadac.

Well after a 3 hour cleaning session, a FIRE and all the weight & faf of my new Cadac Ive complained to Tesco Direct & Cadac. Heard back from Tesco today saying they have contacted Cadac in reference to a refund.
I dont want it any more.
Had enough!
Want to return it for a a refund.
In my honest opinion Cadac grills are complete rubbish and impossible to use as an actual BBQ without it catching fire.
VERY DANGEROUS!!

All I can say is...the older ones do seem to be more user friendly than their modern counterparts do. We have no probs what so ever with our four year old cadac, and for the most part it looks like new. Food doesn't stick and it's no bother to clean. I will stick with what I've got, we love it and use it alot.

We liked our first Cadac so much we bought another one, never had any problems with the first one, BBQs OK, GRILLS great, NEVER caught fire, NO problems cleaning it.

Wow my thread has a new lease of life. Cant understand why your Cadac never got hot enough as ours would cook anything we put on it and our HP was just as hot as our LP

I dont know it sort of broiled things , cleaned the jet out no difference in the end skipped it , I believe it was the global grill model with a blue stand that sort of straddled a camping gaz cylinder, un impressed! We replaced it with a weber q100 and love it.
