Do people generaly go up a size in walking boots to accomadate thick walking socks??

 

Personally I wouldn't even consider buying walking boots without trying them on first.  If you go to a good outdoor shop they'll let you wear them for a couple of weeks indoors and then return them if they aren't right.

Good point! I am off to the MerryHell (Local shopping mecca) to try some on.

But do you find you need a bigger size than say your usual work shoe or trainers??
