I dont like the look of the black cat heater as it doesnt look very sturdy around kids and looks like it could be easly knocked over , thats why i opted for something like this for around my kids (10 + 4), more safe and sturdy.
Yep we got one of those heaters Mel,got us through a very cold, wet and windy night a few weeks ago.Don't know what we'd of done without it,it was brill.Thought it was a bargain with the free cannisters too.
I got a Coleman black cat following advice on this site for a weekend in May and it was great. Really pleased I got it. I am generally cold but with an extra layer of clothing and the heater I was fine! OH who has a Northern aversion to ever admitting he is cold was positively toasty!
Coleman Black Cats are catalytic heaters and therefore should not put out Carbon Monoxide. The other ones that shown are radiant heaters and may well put out CO. - Be careful!

Hi
I got my heater off ebay £21 with 4 free canisters and that included p&p aswell. They are the best thing since sliced bread lol, used ours over the weekend and had to strip down to underwear it got that warm , would never be without it now...
I noted coleman now do a Powercat (with a battery fan). flameless (very low CO emission) 3000 BTU's, runs for 7hrs on a 16.4 ounce propane bottle with 20hrs of fan on 4 D batteries.
I don't know if you can get them in this country yet, though.
