Was hoping to buy one of these !!

Are they any good - we in a smallish tent !! ???

please note you dont have to be sent back via the shops ect  ring the number and they have arranged for dhl to collect and they will repair the problem at coleman and return back to you please remember tto supply your name and address with the heater apparently a simple repair but coleman are not taking any risks

We used ours at Easter and it did raise the temperature in the tent while its on, but I wouldn't have called it warm, it was just a bit less cold.  I was a bit worried about using it with my children around and there was a slight smell which I didn't like.

Generally I think I will probably use it again if we camp in the Spring or Autumn but only if we really need it.

I found mine to be excellent and soon heated up our hartford XXL and that is one big tent.  Overall I am very pleased with the heater.

I just managed to get through to Coleman and my serial number ends 05 as well so no problem.

They mentioned it was the ones with a serial number ending 06 and 07 that they were having problems with.

Have had one since '05 and perfectly happy, no probs so not directly effected by this recall.

I do wish Coleman would hurry up with another replacement part I paid for at the beginning of May!!!!!!!!!!  But that's another story.

I was just aboutto purchase one of these as I am going away without EHU in a few weeks so my fan heater wont be useable. Does this mean if the 07 ones are iffy they are no longer on sale anywhere? or would I haver to buy one and send it straight to Coleman.

A bit miffed - dont know what to do now.

I would hope if you are going away in a few weeks (July?) you won't need a heater. Honestly, this Easter was the first time I had bothered and I didn't take it at half term, but then I suppose I go to bed early if I feel cold - perhaps that makes me sad?

 When I spoke to Coleman they did mention that some stock had already been checked in the warehouse, I think they may have marked the checked ones, not sure.  You might want to give them a call about this or quiz your retailer before buying.

Maybe next time I take mine I'll take a thermometer to measure how much effect it has!
