Using polythene under a breathable grounsheet makes it an unbreathable groundsheet!!

Thats just what we do, only we use dustbin liners cut into oblong pieces before we go. When we pack up the last thing is to screw them up and dump them.Job done

We don't use breathable groundsheets, I'm on about the grey plastic ones that are awful to clean! Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick!

We do the same it comes up brill in fact got to do mine tomorrow,its in the shed at the moment,as only got back today.After giving it a once over i then hose it all down,then hang on the washing line to dry out smells luverley when you use it the next time.

My ground sheet is a breathable one forgot to say lol

Slightly off the point but a rubber backed bath mat is brilliant for whiping feet. Washable and  small to pack too.
