Trailer!!!

Travelling at 60mph watching the rest of the world dash by is really rather therapeutic I find, and forces me to relax on our way to wherever we're going!!

And ditto everything else about trailers and their uses!

get a trailer  first and if your anything  like us with a growing family you'll end up with a roof box as well later on !!!

we did all of 2006 in an escort with a roof box[halfords biggest].a bit of a squeeze but it all went in.we now use the box on top of a zafira.we did take a trailer to the lytham meet but that was mainly to carry the scenery for the hawaiian theme! if you are comfortable with towing then do so,you can always put a box on the trailer.if you go the roof box way then you will be surprised where everything goes,just dont put heavy stuff upstairs-we put chairs and sleeping bags and other bulky but light[ish] things up there.

We started with a roof box, soon needed a trailer as well, then extended the trailer upwards, then got a bigger trailer....I just wonder how we went camping first time with just a roof box!

I guess you will acquire more and more gear and the trailer will become invaluable. Yes it costs more if you take it abroad on the ferry but we couldn't go without the trailer because of what we need with us, kids gear included.

Both trailers I have had show a safe maximum speed in excess of the 60mph that is the law here.

I like the idea of a trailor easier than packing the car 2 problems are

1 - storing said trailer

2 - raining the mrs in to 60 on the motorway not easy in the MG it goes too well (has to be said Im as bad)
