I'm always amazed when I see this type of post, 5 litres of pure water 99p. I dont trust the pipes in the 'van no matter how "clean". Enjoy the luxury of a "proper" kettle maybe 2 kw, just switch off something while its on!!
You buy water - when it's the same as comes out of a tap and probably comes ...out of a tap? Couldn't be bothered with buying bottles of water either (all that carrying), and no space to store in my campervan. I sterilize with tablets and pump through.
And what's the point of having a tap then using bottled water? Seems a bit of an effort to me. Don't want any hard work whilst I'm away!
Have used the house kettle, but it's too big, so I need something smaller. If they made a household kettle at half size (say around 1.5litres) I'd go for one of those.
I have the same problem with getting the big kettle under the tap, so I use a jug as well. Saves moving the kettle round in a confined space, too.
I keep looking around for a smaller kettle, but the travel ones aren't cheap, so I haunt car boots in hope of getting another - last one cost me £2, a friend got one at the same boot for 20p and hers is still going strong. .

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
Edited to add: the price is around this in the shops, ie.e., argos, etc. However, I have to use petrol to get there and stand in a queue, so £11 post free is ok by me, delivered to the door.

We didn't have much but a camping holiday was considered by me as a kid as the height of a cool holiday! When I started 'grown up' camping, the first thing I wanted was a whistling kettle...
ME TOO!!!! I bought a red one - exactly the same as the one my mum had 30 years ago when I was camping as a child!!!!
The Lloytron travel kettle is great! Very quick to boil, as quick if not quicker than our house kettle. Bought a second one for the mother in law, but before we could give it to her she decides she's not camping any more! It'll come in handy one day.
