Are the Outwell cool boxes big enough for a family of four and what does it mean by cools to 18-25 degrees?

Also are the Campingaz party grills sturdy?  Look like they may topple over!

Thanks

Hi

We use this cool box for Myself, Wife and 2 kids, 4 and 2

It is plenty big enough for us, It has enough room for all our food and just enough room at the top for a few beers.

It runs very quiet, and kept our food nice and cold during a week away.

As for the camping grill, as long as it is used with the correct Gas cylinder (Campigaz 907) It is very stable, The top section is very lightweight so all the weight is in the leg and the gas cylinder.

Hope this helps

Ben

Hi All

Have a Mobicool mini fridge and did have a Giostyle electric coolbox, just got it out to test and it has started to humm badly and need to replace, what is the Outwell coolbox like and how quiet is it, unfortunately do not live near a Go Outdoors so not so easy to return (without it being costly)?

Can't decide between an Outwell or the ones in Halfords (which are made by Mobicool).

I bought the Outwell the other day and they are fairly quiet, bonus with them is that they come with a 12v lead and a 240, power supply on the cool box is switshable.

Look on the Don Valley Sports website, http://www.donvalleysports.co.uk/products.php?sec=36

they have the Campinggaz coolbox for £29.99 as well.

Outwell electric coolboxes in the go outdoors sale, £29, Bargain.

Just wondered what size these are , or anyone can post a link, I'd be ever so grateful. Thanks

I looked at them just earlier, they are 24L.

Millets are also doing the 28L CampingGaz ones for £29.99, that's what I'll be buying tomorrow.

*edit*
I'm sure their website had 28L ones on the other day, they only have 24L now!

Wow, how's this for service.  I ordered one of these on Tuesday evening, the website said to allow for 7-10 working days for despatch, and it arrived this morning, less that 48hrs later!  Well done, Go Outdoors

hi there,

i just bought one of these outwell coolboxes, and pardon my ignorance  but it works fine when plugged into the car lighter socket - but when i plug it into a house socket, nothing happens!  i don't know much about how electricity works, but do i need an adapter or something for home use?  it's rated at 230v...

thanks

Peter

Sounds like you have a faulty coolbox Peter. It should work just as well with the 240v plug as the 12v lighter plug. I should take it back.

Go outdoors sale was great. Bought a combo party grill and an Outwell cooler but a bit disappointed with it.  It's a bit noisy isn't it? Its about to have it's first outing at Devon next week but worried that the noise will wake people in the next tent. I just didn't expect it to make a noise. Are other campers tolerant of cooler box noises or shall I turn it off overnight?

The Outwell Sun Valley 8 carpets are still £63 on their webiste, are they still £19.99 in store.  Keep looking, unfortunately do not live close to one so hoping they will go down eventually on their website.
