Kia Ora again anyone/everyone. Still looking for an answer on our Carver 2 problem (not starting, everything in place). Would someone with one of these units be kind enough to check (by removing outside cover) what the voltage is across the burner module connections....Im only getting 1.25-1.36volts with a fully charged battery. I suspect this is too low as I think I had over 4v there at one stage (and even that might have been wrong ie too low, but enough to start it?) I have contacted Gary but not getting an answer...maybe someone cud let him know for us?? With thanks Graeme

...thanks Jennifer, just got a reply from Gary (now back from Thailand), so might make some progress now. Having said that wud still appreciate someone confirming what voltage reading they get from under exterior cover (just using a muti-meter)

Regards

Graeme (NZ)

Graeme ( NZ )

We are also having problems with our carver water heater not starting on gas.

There is no spark getting through but it all works if we take the cover off and light it manually. We do have an installation manual but need workshop advice.

Works perfectly with electricity

Did u manage to get your problem sorted

Regards Pat ( Bay of Plenty NZ )

Hi Pat...well this is a bit of a joke! We are also in the sunny BOP (tauranga)...where r u? Do you also have an ex-UK camper......if so what sort? I still havnt got mine sorted...just waiting on some UK prices for a complete burner-module (available on UK E-bay for around a 100 pound plus freight) I have now had mine apart several times so Im pretty familiar with things. If you are local i wud be happy to have a look and maybe help out (07-5714966). Otherwise you cud contact Gary at Arc Systems (UK) for advice...he tried to help with my problem and said it sounded like the burner module needed replacing which is the obvious place to start(or finish) I guess.

cheers

Graeme
