It may seem very quiet to you but it is still a disturbing noise to those unfortuante to be next to any van with a generatore

I have used mine on site and other campers have ask how I have 240 as there are no EHU on this part of the campsite,when I take them and show them the little Genny in its sound proof box they look very suprised as the say they have not heard it.

I would have thought unit could overheat if insulated all round, any worries in that regard?

no its only enclosed on three sides and the topone side is fully open and theres about 4" space all round,never had any probs with my little EX 650,and its almost 20 years old,but I do service it quite often for the sake of a couple of quid
