    We are going in the opposite direction, The last 2 seasons have been bad weather wise, and we booked a number of sites for our big holiday and our weekends and had to cancel because of gales etc.In the 2009 season we are not booking for anywhere, and going back to 12 volts and gas, as we can go anywhere at the drop of a hat and follow the sun if we get it .

I have considered one for a fridge in summer and maybe some heating / lighting to extend the season...however, I`m concerned certain members of my `camping team` may not be able to stop there..

For me camping is about cooking outside, no tv`s etc

Depends who packs the car, really. In our case it's ME, therefore I have the final veto on what goes in. There's an A-list (must go), B list (really would be best if it goes) and the C-list (Nice if it goes but first to be left behind if space is tight.)

Then there's the D-list, which I know darn well isn't going to go under any circumstances but I let the family put things on it to keep them happy. And quiet. I am nice that way.
