hi, i agree with vangoman on this one. i have tried different ways of warming the tent up like, halogen heaters which in my opinion are ok in a small tent because they give off a more direct heat. also tried the radiator type which are pretty good if you intend on leaving it on all the time or you know when it will be cold as they take a long time to warm a large area. also tried the gas heaters but found them expensive to run but ok if you have no ehu. found a small fan heater with variable settings excellent and only cost about £10-£15. we have a aspen 700dlx which is a large tent and keeps lovely and cosey with a single fan heater, also as vangoman says keep it as close to the floor as possible as the heat will rise quickly and leave you with cold feet. another tip is to open the bedroom pods about half hour before you go to bed or you will notice a considerable drop in temp inside them. i have not yet tried a convector heater but am very happy with the fan heater which takes up far less space in transport
------------- fresh air, lager and no work. who could want more?
Same here, cheap low wattage fan heater from Morrisons in Whitehaven last year for £6.99. Kept us toasty in winter and cool in summer on the blower setting.
When we dont have EHU then we use the gas aerosol heater, although it cant be on all the time for safety.
Wondering though, we got a camping gaz lantern for £2.35 in tesco recently and I'd imagine that they would push out some kind of heat too.

i know what everyone says about fan heaters, but i like the fact that this has a emergency cut off, if it is tilted in anyway then it shuts down, which i think is great with the kids running around.
I know it won't stop them from getting burnt but it might just save my tent

We use one from Argos cat No. 415/0688 only £16.99 It has a variable thermostat with thermostatic temperature control keeping the tent at the set temperature. It has a safety cut out if it falls over and an oscillating base spreading the heat around the tent. The kids like the look of it because it looks like Darth Vaider.
