Absolutely get the real thing. They are brilliant little cookers and really well built. I have had mine now since 1984 and still works like it did on day one. It has been tested to it's limit as I only ever use it for fishing trips, so it does get abuse from time to time.

I've got a 27 duossall (sp?) but can't get on with it, I have reverted back to my gas stove. Must be me as everyone else loves theirs

I Have both and I find the origional trangia the best. I find the fake one burns the meths to fast.

Make sure you get the non stick frying pan at least. I have the aluminium one without the non stick coating and beleive me, most of the food sticks to it especially eggs. Might be a good idea to get the gas burner and hose as well.

 Make sure that you keep the kettle handle upright when you are boiling water as I melted the plastic coating on mine.

If anyone is looking to get a trangia then check out simply hike. I paid £51.95 for a 25-6 UL (large trangia set non stick with kettle). Use "HIKH9" a promotional code for free delivery.

I haven't found anywhere cheaper.
