michael - I agree that the works vans parked near you are more than an eyesore. In a road near mine live 'neighbours from hell' with works vans, farm machinery, broken down old wreaks etc littered over their (large) front garden and drive. The house looks derelict but plenty of activity going on inside apparently. Not much you can do unfortunately.
The only eyesore in my road is a large camper van which sits on a neighbour's drive. It gets started up once a fortnight (at about 6.00am and its a really noisy old diesel job), disappears for about an hour and then reappears. Over the past 5 years nobody has ever seen it off the drive for more than that one hour every fortnight. I would not mind it so much if they actually used it for camping away in once in a while!!
------------- Please do not adjust your mind... there is a fault in reality
