Yes - you can make a long black coffee (Americano) by adding hot water. Or add hot milk to make a Latté - my favourite in this weather, with a nip of brandy perhaps if you don't have to drive :)
Another one if you're a big coffee fan is the Handpresso - they are pricey but if you're a real coffee nut they're totally worth it!
You can get a proper espresso complete with crema from it - the crema isn't quite as thick as it is from my machine but considering it's portable and human-powered it's amazing! Plus people can't wait to have a go - lots of giggling may ensue as it is rather an amusing shape and requires pumping (like a bike pump) to get the 15bar of pressure needed. We've got the Handpresso Wild so we can use freshly ground coffee but you can get the Handpresso Domepod which takes ESE pods too.
I've found cleaning it very straightforward - the bit that holds the coffee is removable and the filter has a slight curve to it so you just press the bottom and the used coffee pops out, rinse and done! You get two filters with it so the next person can be filling it with coffee whilst you're making yours. The instructions even said you don't need to descale it.
I really love mine, it's got a really nice quality feel to it and it's a gadget that actually works! My OH takes it to work because he prefers the coffee it makes to the Nespresso pod thing they have in the office. I do have one small niggle I forgot to mention - you don't get a tamper with it and in order to get a good espresso the coffee needs to be tamped pretty firmly. We've managed with a teaspoon but it would be quicker with something the right shape and size, i keep meaning to make something to do the job but it doesn't bother me enough for me to actually get around to it
The word on t'internet is that the Presso espresso coffee maker is coming into stock towards the end of the month and could be well worth a look............

Im not a coffee drinker but my hubby is and he goes for Lyons "fresh ground coffee in one-cup bags - original blend" available in green boxes in supermarkets. Each coffee bag is individually sealed in a metallic bag. Hubby says they are just like filter coffee - but they are as easy as tea bags - just leave them in the cup a little longer. Great for camping - no gadgets required. A box of 18 sealed bags is about £1.99 I think.

LOL you're missing the point, we like our gadgets
The bags are OK but we'd use a box in just about 2 days, less on some of our group trips and you can't vary the type of coffee you are drinking.
Could be worse......... Could be instant coffee.........
