Its my local shop and I love going there! Big shop, wide range and friendly people. I tend to go there, look at what I want to buy then research on the net. 9 times out of 10 the price there is comparable to the net.
------------- Enjoying caravanning, realising what an expensive hobby it is and spending the family’s inheritance before they can get their hands on it!
wm camping at herne bay for me everytime. helpful staff and The Punch Tavern (crown carveries - part of the Toby chain) do a mon-sat roast at £3.95. Deffo woth a visit!
Had to drive past sk camping today so would have been rude not to stop off and have a nosey.I was very impressed with the displays loads of stuff from most big brands. The shop was bigger than expected too with lots to look at.
I would say the shop is on par with camping international but the tent displays are far bigger as its all outside so more room to display stuff.
We recently brought a tiris 800 and now after seeing so many other tents i know we made the right choice for us.Saying that i can now see why people amass a collection of tents as i did see a few others i liked for a weekend, easy setup type thing.
So far im using the force and resisting the urges...
We popped into SK camping once. They were very rude and unhelpful...won't be getting my custom again.
Had a look around the place at Herne Bay on Monday, but they don't tend to have very big tents due to lack of space. Have a couple of bits that I can't find cheaper elsewhere so will be back there soon.
Also went to Camping International yesterday. Again not a great amount of larger tents but ideal to check out accessories and to indulge in my folding camper fantasy.
We were saying on the way home that Kent needs a really good camping place, so if anyone ever does set one up let us know and we'll be there!
------------- If you see a family struggling to put up the tent then it must be us!

Funny you should say that. We've had exactly the same experience there today! Also, the place was awash with signs warning people to keep their children under control. I know this can be a problem sometimes but this just seemed totally OTT.
Maybe they prefer mail order to real people.
It was interesting to have a look round the tent display but we won't be going back.
Went for a walk and picnic in the Ashdown Forest and stopped off at John's Cross on the way home and spent our money there. Much better experience.
