Pressure-cooker. Mum used to take one to feed us all and it worked a treat. Not tried myself but there's only two of us. 'Proper' pans feel more solid and less like toys in MHO. Griddle pan with ridges proved useful on our recent trip. And look out for 'pre-loved' enamel pans in charity shops or boot-fairs.
