A Paracetamol & Ibuprofen Cocktail (1 of each together!) works better for me!

Ibuprofen or Voltarol Gel on the affected area works well too!

The airbeds are a total No-No for my back! .... Total murder!

Try sleeping with a cushion between your knees when on your side & under your knees when on your back!

A second one supporting your neck may also help!

Move them around supporting you in different places e.g. the middle of your back, until you find the best position for you!

Also!, ... If you can find one .... A good Osteopath will put you right far quicker than any Physio.

They most certainly ARE good, great in fact as are most of the TENS units BUT......you cannot wear them in bed I'm afraid, and the relief isn't instant, (usually takes me about 20 minutes for any kind of relief to kick in when I put mine on first thing and keep it on for the rest of the day), so maybe be helpful for Linnie as the day goes on if not when she's getting up.

I've been using a TENS for over 20 years and obtained my first one through the physio department of our local hospital where I was having treatment for a whiplash injury and the kind physio suggested also giving the second set of electrodes a go on my lower spine where I'd suffered 3 prolapsed discs when nursing many years before and I bless the day I met THAT physioWhile it doesn't totally eradicate the pain, it certainly takes the edge off it a lot of the time which gives me slightly less reason to be hunting for me hari kari knives
