We love Quechuas - got 3 of them!! 2 x 3 man two second tents and a 4.2 4 man tent.
The trouble with the Oztents is that they're really bulky and very heavy - particularly when wet. We went on a touring holiday with a group and one family had one. The basic cover went up fast enough - although all the add-ons took a fair old time to put up.
But it was a very long, heavy roll to get onto the roof of their discovery and it was full length of their roofrack.

They dont deliver to my area and nearest stores are Sheffield and Stockport- both over 100 miles away.
That's really bad luck. Decathlon seem to have the strangest system, only delivering to certain areas from certain stores. The website told me I had to order from Surrey Quays and if I had waited to think about it a couple of days I would have lost out too. Once the parcel is in Parcelforce's system I wouldn't have thought it mattered how far it had to go - but what do I know.
"UPDATE !!"
Ive just spoken to Decathlon and have ordered my Quecha by phone. Credit card and gave them my address. Parcel Force. So dont believe the website- they do post items out by Parcel Force hopefully it will arrive by the weekend and my next camping adventure.....
I am late on this thread, but i have had an RV1 for a few years and have noted the following:
Good
very easy to put up and down by 1 person
strong expedition grade material
large number of add ons
Can stand alone, fit to vehicle or fit to caravan
Not so good
Heavy especially when wet
condensation if not well vented
expensive
In all i have great fondness for the oztent, but i think it is a land rover thing, you can get better suitable kit for your vehicle for less money. I bought mine after much research and know it will last a life time but i acknowledge that there are some negative points that i am choosing to live with. Horses for courses!!

Thanks for your comments about the RV1. Yes cost and the weight put me off. Also bulk as I have little storage space. The pop-up toilet tent that they do is appealing and only aboyt £60.00....
Google "Oztent Condensation". Bulky, over priced junk, especially in windy conditions. You need a roof rack to carry one and if you purchase all the accessories like side and front panels and a fly,you will near double the original price.
The RV1 is not junk, it is designed as a safari tent to be used on 4x4 tours and for quick erection...... If you require a different spec of equipment then that is what you should buy!!!!! like i said horses for courses.
i am a happy oztent user and know plenty of others that have had no problems. Guess what it fits lovely on the roof of my defender....i bet you like them too....!

We have the Oztent CR1 small pop-up tent to use for storage next to our campervan. It takes our chairs, table, and a couple of clothes bags (if we stack them carefully). It's also been useful to change in. It's so quick to put up and put away, just what you want for 1 or 2 nights away. Also, it marks your pitch if you drive off site.
We recently bought a Quechua Base pop-up in the sale (couldn't resist it!). It's also been great. Obviously bigger than the Oztent pop-up and takes a little longer to put up and take down but quicker than an equivalent sized ordinary tent. It's great if you need a little more space if there's more than two of you and provides somewhere to sit out of the rain and cold if needed. We place the Quechua about a metre from the van (our van is higher than the Quechua so it can't go right next to it.
When we went to buy the Oz tent we visited the UK stockists base which is in Upton-on-Severn, Worcestershire. We also saw the RV1 - very sturdy it seemed, but not the type of tent we were looking for.

yes the CR1 looks great as a small pop-up . The Base seconds is fab but so hard to dismantle on my own especially if its windy its impossible. Id get a CR1 but the website wants £20.00 for shipping it !!
