Some people get really Hung up on gear (they are the ones who spend half their camp in and out if the car boot)
You seem to have the essentials, one thing no-ones mentioned is a water carrier, the squash up 15ltr things are just a few quid and save lots of trips to the tap.
Also don't forget your tin opener and toilet roll stash!
Hi Elle
Agree with all the above but personally find there's nothing worse than being cold at night so make sure you have sufficient to do just that. Air beds are knows as 'heat theives' as the air in them cools and you get cold so the insulation under is important but also I would put another layer between your sleeping bag and the air bed for additional insulation.
Bedding bedding and more bedding. I'm not an airbed fan I feel like I'm sleeping on block of ice! Take an extra duvet and some fleece blankets, don't skimp on this.
Plates - we tried paper plates on one trip, they blew away constantly (even with food on them) and grease from BBQ food went straight through them onto our knees! You can get cheap plastic at supermarkets and pound shops.
There is a huge Asda on the road into Taunton if you discover you're missing anything vital.
Hi!
I'm following this with interest as a newby who took delivery of her first tent today. The table and chairs look a good deal, I've ordered a set for 22 incl delivery. They appear to have a 10% discount running. Thanks for the link
shoot to the nearest M&S thats glamping not camping poundland for us or kitchen roll whatever is cheapest
I'm peeing myself now at the thought of trying to dry my thick, shoulder-length hair on kitchn roll. It would be vile, the kitchen roll would disintegrate and bits would be stuck in my hair until the next shower!
