The questions are as following:
What is your name and age? Andy, Becky, Joseph & Erin. 33, 31, 7 & 5.
Do you camp in your own country or do you go abroad? UK last year, venturing to France in July :-)
Where do you buy your camping equipment? In the store or online? And why? Tend to buy from Go Outdoors, on our doorstep and price is right when promotions are on. Online otherwise.
Do you prefer an experienced salesman or consumers reviews on products? Reviews. Non biased.
What do you prefer, high quality or a low price? Both. I'd rather spend a bit more on quality kit though.
Is camping a status symbol in England? Not that I've experienced.
How would you describe the average camper? No such thing IMHO.
Are you familiar with the word “glamcamping”? Glamping yes. Becky insists on a hook up to plug in the GHDs.
On the average, how much would you recon that English campers spend on their camping equipment? So far we're on c£1000
What brands active in the high segment (expensive and high quality products) are you familiar with? Trangia, Vango, Outwell, Petzl, Gerber, The North Face, Campingaz, cadac.

UK, not just a fair weather camper!
Where do you buy your camping equipment? In the store or online? And why?
Online usually as prices arn't as inflated as most high street stores. But all depends what I'm after really.
Do you prefer an experienced salesman or consumers reviews on products?
Honest consumer reviews, but having a salesman who knows what he/she is talking about helps too (as many these days don't!).
What do you prefer, high quality or a low price?
High quality as it usually out lives the cheap tat!
Is camping a status symbol in England?
Yes, it's a status of being poor! No only joking, not at all for me. I think there's a lot of tent snobbery these days though from some people.
How would you describe the average camper?
Someone who likes to watch the sun set with a nice glass of their favourite tipple.

Yes but not my thing. It's nice to get away from the luxuries sometimes.

A few thousand so far and always rising, it never stops!
What brands active in the high segment (expensive and high quality products) are you familiar with?
I'm familiar with Vango, Outwell, Gelert, Kyham etc but most are made in China now and have suffered badly in quality of recent years so none of the average manufacturers I'd consider high quality products. It depends also to what products you refer to, eg tents, stoves, lamps, coolers. Not one maker is a market leader in all products camping related.

I live in England and Camp in England Wales and plan top camp this year in Scotland

This depends what it is, and when it was bought. My older equipment there was no online, so it was in person. I have bought my recent tents online ebay, but have also purchased items recently from a shop (table and sleeping bag).

Reviews, but things are not always reviewed or recommended, but hate the salesperson.” I will ask if I need help thank you.”

A healthy balance of both. Quality at low prices. And again it depends what is being purchased.

Who cares? I camp because I enjoy it, not to keep up with the jones’s

Average height, average build, brown hair, no distinguishing features.

Glamping yes, though not with the concept and if it is even possible to be a glamper without Electric Hook Up
On the average, how much would you recon that English campers spend on their camping equipment?
No more than the average Welsh or Scottish Camper. But that this could well vary depending on the type of camping undertaken (tent campervan etc) and how many catered for (family size) where the camping is to take place (UK warmer climates or colder climates) and where they had bought their equipment from online or shop or imported.

I do have some good quality items that are named, though I don’t care about the name of a brand. I have them as they were the best value.
Some nice questions, but you need to be a bit more specific if yopu intend to compare the answers given eg On the average, how much would you recon that English campers spend on their camping equipment? I'd have asked "on average how much would you as a fabric camper spend on your tent per person camping" That way you narrow down to just 1 type of camping, you are specific in which item and you can compare as you've stated per person.
