Got ours cheap in the end-of-season sale, don't use it as a wind break too often as that usually means blocking the sun coming from the same direction. It's just about do-able solo if you lay it all out ready first, do the ends then the middle then adjust; and yes 2 guys at the end poles and loops to hold the material up. We've kept it because we use it to defend our wine glasses from footballs on cramped sites where the pitches aren't well defined; or where we've been put right beside the toilet block and folk pass by so close that they trip over the dog's lead.

If it's a Vango one we ain't half way there yet...lol...

We brought one, tried to use it once, it was clearly rubbish so it's in the garage somewhere never to see the light of day again.

Like the idea of changing the poles for garden stakes though, that MAY breath new life into it.

I do not have a Vango windbreak, however, I do have a Khyam 4-thin-metal-poles windbreak with a canopy that I used to use before I bought my 5-pole Blue Diamond windbreak with wooden poles.

Once I have pushed the first pole into the ground, I would guy it with 2 guys before spacing out the rest of the windbreak, and then guy the last pole.

I would then go back to adjust the position of each pole before securing them with guys.

Here is a pic of the end result - tight and did not sway or flap in the wind:
