Best advice is go BIG.

Moved up to a trailer this year, I was given an old kna**ed 6' x 4' wooden one.

Re-wooded and varnished it with T and G, new bearings and tyres, repainted the frame, made a hinged lid, the lid has a bolt on kayak / bike / fishing tackle rack. Cost me about £140 to refit, it now looks the job

We can now get the rediculasly big and heavy canvas frame tent and all our tackle in with room to spare

Obviously we need more equipment, I'm working on that one

I'm no expert but from my own experience I would buy a 2nd hand one of ebay etc. Erde's are too small and expensive for us so we got a great homemade one of ebay for £100. It was completely refurbished by the previous owner and the local trailer centre said it would take the weight of a mini. I find you can adapt the wooden trailers to suit your needs.

Now that has potential. Add on high side kit, cover and spare wheel and still works out very reasonable. Just off to shmooze the wife.

That is the idea, it's cheaper than a secondhand one off ebay.
