Best advice is go BIG.
Moved up to a trailer this year, I was given an old kna**ed 6' x 4' wooden one.
Re-wooded and varnished it with T and G, new bearings and tyres, repainted the frame, made a hinged lid, the lid has a bolt on kayak / bike / fishing tackle rack. Cost me about £140 to refit, it now looks the job
We can now get the rediculasly big and heavy canvas frame tent and all our tackle in with room to spare
Obviously we need more equipment, I'm working on that one
