I had a small inflatable pillow with a cover on for years, but since it got a leak  I just take cushions. You can get a small cushion from Dunelm and wrap it in an ordinary pillowcase,  I like two pillows at home, so in addition I use a folded blanket, or a fleece, or some clothes in a small rucksack. I've even used a spare sleeping bag, still rolled up in it's bag. And I've also used a lmedium sized cuddly toy. Be inventive.

I remember at Cub Camps - small boys bringing pillows almost as big as they were.
