thanks for all your replies on this but really no need to argue, like realbusdriver said we all have our own opinions on things otherwise the world would be a sad place!

i've now had a chance to look at both and if i was to go for either i think it would have to be the campbed. purely on the grounds of space in the car! however i will say that if space was not an issue i would go for a fishing chairbed.

need to run it past err indoors and see what happens.

No need to argue on this one. Nash "WideBoy" bedchair beats ANY campbed for comfort, big and bulky though, (Like me, thats why i got one)

Think the comment was because realbus driver jumped in and made a stupid comment on something he had a distinct lack of knowledge of and did not have a clue about.

Carp anglers (i am one) often spend a week at a time in there bivvy's (not tents) sleeping on bed chairs thats why comfort is a priority. As stated, the best is the Nash wide boy or the Nash indulgence. The link will show you the type of bedchair available. 

As stated the downside is the weight.

careful mate who your calling stupid, some folk take serious offence at name calling

this old lads been fishing for over 35years  ( pleasure ,match, carp & sea angling ,with varying degrees of success) and has done his time overnight on the bank side, 3,4,5 night trips,  as such am very aware of whats involved and STILL say the clue is in the title,

for the really stupid , 1 is called a CAMP BED because it's designed to take camping ,in a TENT ( cheap ,lightweight and utilitarian, the other is designed to get a comfortable kip on while maggot drowning of a night
