We have one of those notebook BBQs which get terrible reviews and a lot of people hate! We find it works OK for us. I do find disposable BBQs so easy though, no emptying or cleaning the BBQ before you go home.
No more photos pleeease. I have just started my diet and all that gorgeous looking food is making my stomach rumble!
When you do your beer can chicken do you just put the chicken straight onto the can or is supported some other way to stop it falling over?
We also have a weber at home and absolutely love it, but for camping we take a portable Wagga Wagga BBQ and the Cobb. I have seen a portable Weber for camping called the smokey Joe, but it's charcoal not gas.

I am also losing weight but can eat my grilled and BBQ food as the emphasis of my diet is on protein. I refuse any sauce but red ones and also eat plenty of veggies. But I stay well away of low Glycemic Indexed carbohydrates and if I eat any carbs I only have the minimum.
I fill the cavity with onions and a mashed up clove of garlic and some spices and then stick the chicken on the can without any other support after I emptied the can one third. Then I carefully put it in the kettle with indirect heat from 15-20 briquettes + one fist sized chunk of hardwood or fruit tree wood for that important smoke.
Put the lid on and open bottom valves completely and the upper valved halfway for a temperature of about 120ºC for about 1 hour. Turn the chicken every half hour to crisp it on both sides and add two or three briquettes when doing that. It should be done in 1½ hours.
You'll have the neighbours climbing the fences if you use a nice chicken rub from the store and sprinkle it inside and out.
But remember: you ain't cooking if you keep looking!
Yes we are Weber fans. At home we have a small compact kettle (10 years old now) and a 57cm One touch (new last year). Whilst we use a Go-Anywhere when camping, great BBQs.

Hiya Tootsie,
Clearly, you're doing the wrong diet, then.
