I slept on an Aeorbed at my friend's house (she uses it as a guest bed) and yes, it was very comfortable and I slept well.
But with any airbed, no matter how expensive, you will always run the risk of it deflating at some point (usually in the middle of your trip away in the middle of the night!)

I have always used airbeds and we have been lucky with them up until alst year when mine let me down (quite literally!) in the middle of the night.

We now use camp beds which are incredibly comfortable - I won't be going back to using airbeds again.

We use Aerobed active. Over the past 3 years we have taken SEVEN back for replacement due to them going down. Only ever payed for the first though as we take the receipt with us when we go and a postcode for the nearest argos. We get our money back and promptly buy a new one so it's fully guaranteed.

 Argos no longer do the active dual chamber (did we get all their stock!) so bought our latest one direct from Aerobed at the offer price. When they work they are fantastic ( especially with fitted electric blanket on) but we now take a spare active I got off ebay fo £16 as a backup. Also I think most of the problems are due to the valves which can now be bought as replacments from Aerobed fo £1.99 so I have bought a few to take ( there is a video on you tube)

We had a Colemon airbed, but it had a leak, so we were able to get our money back.  replaced it with a Regatta from Argos, and it too leaked.

So we *upgraded* to on Intex Queen with built in pump.  It was used by the family over Xmas & was fantastic.  Yet to use it in the tent but it looks promising!

We have a Jileon double height airbed with built in pump that we bought from Tesco last year.  We used it for two weeks last summer as well as for a number of weekends away and it was fine.  It did go down a bit after a few days but we just topped it up again.  We find it really comfy, and didn't really suffer with the cold even in May when we went away and it was -4 at night!
