Well been looking at local council website, and because my drive faces a highway I'm not allowed to erect a 6ft fence on it with out getting planning permission and that adds extra cost. So now back to the drawing board.

I want to keep equipment in trailer for quick get aways, instead of putting it all back in the loft every time. I don't mind putting tent and sleeping bags up there. But looking for ideas on all the other equipment. I have no room in the shed. As I'm not going to leave in trailer on drive and my trailer goes on end in the garden.

local council may say that you can not erect a 6 foot fence but you can probably manage a 3 or 4 ft fence depending on your council.it would be worth a call to them to find out. dont think a trailer would be much above that ;)

I kept my gear in my trailer for a 3 wk period at one time last summer, thinking I'd do this regularly for quick getaways ... however when I opened up the trailer after 3 weeks all the gear had mildew on it ... So now I empty the trailer out every time and would not consider it a place for storage!

Must admit that I thinking I won't leave.stuff in trailer as.there a chance of getting nicked , so gonna get one of them small plastic sheds and put that in garden. And then get plastic sealed boxes. I will then store all the stuff that's safe to be stored.in them and then the tent and bags will go back in the loft. Just trying to minimise packingt time.

We are lucky and have huge garage so its packed ready to go camping. If you need a lock for it Aldi still have those trailer locks or they did last week at our branch.
