Agree the item description is important but by the same logic look at any retailler selling the Cadac on the web and they specifically tell you what's included. The Ebay ad was careful not to mention these parts and the wording appears to have been doctored to exclude them. Also every other seller has exploded the pic of the bits and pieces, again it was excluded from this listing.
Just to be clear here, I do think the seller has been a bit sharp (but within the law) and I hope the OP does get a refund, I'm just trying to make a point to read ad's very carefully and if at all unsure to ask the seller.
Hi
I would suggest you go down the "brand new unopened in original retail packaging" route with Ebay as the retail packaging should have been the safari chef cardboard box so it has obviously been opened and removed from its original retail packaging Ebay are pretty good in supporting buyers

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Yes the advertising does not show the full set, but it does show a pic of the carry case appearing to be 'full'. This could & has caused confusion. I can't believe the guy selling this had the nerve to offer the carry case free. He should have made it clear in his ad that accessories were not included. I def don't buy the 'unused and unopened statement' you can not buy these like that without the accessories. Thank goodness for the distance selling regulation act (I think that's what it's called!!) But anyway, it was set up so that you can return items by mail order if you can't see them at the point of purchase. I imagine it can only be used against retailers, but I suppose that's where Ebay come in to protect the buyer. Def pursue this guy or Ebay...You have a case.
I know I keep banging on this thread and probably coming across as a total git but just to point out you can buy the burners by themselves (don't know how to do a proper linky but...)
Also as pointed out above I don't belive the distance selling regs cover auctions although you may be Ok if you used a 'Buy it Now' option (stand to be corrected though)
As mentioned previously hope you do get a refund, just don't want you going in all guns blazing just to be shot down due to lack of information.
Yes Jim you total git!!!!....Haha only joking ;-)
We've searched loads of websites for the last couple of years after the apparently sought after Safari Chef roast pan, but I don't think I've ever come across the burner only (but then again I wasn't looking for one!!) We've found that it's much more difficult getting accessories for this model than it is for the Carri Chef.
I think the Distance selling regulation Act does cover Ebay if you are a trader, regardless if you are selling by auction or buy it now. If you are a private seller and you are selling your own unwanted items then it doesn't cover you. However, if you are buying to sell ( which I believe this guy was as he was selling several of them) then they may have a case....But not 100% sure where they stand on this as I think he's a private seller. Im sure Ebay will advise.
I do hope this person manages to get a refund.
Clearly you have been misled. The item sold to you is not the Cadac Safari Chef Delux LP - see following link http://www.cadac.uk.com/products/product.php?pid=262 - not can it be described as Brand new and Original Packaging for the same reason that the product name used, when bought brand new from ANY retailer would have the standard accessories.
The fact that the seller has only used a single image is irrelevant, the same image can also be found on other retailer websites but is always accompanied by other images of the remaining items. The image is for illustrative purposes only and is never intended as a definitive product description - purchasers rely on the text of the advert for that.

Absolutely correct that you can just buy the Burner Unit (by the way it does not come with the legs) and if this is what was being sold then it should have been described as such: i.e. Cadac Safari Chef Burner Unit only.
I agree that the buyer should be aware etc but obviously as you can't inspect something via the Internet the seller does have a duty to be accurate in their description. If you bought a car you'd expect it to have an engine, even if the seller doesn't provide a picture of it.
The seller hasn't bothered to reply to my messages for an entire week now so I've left negative feedback (as has another buyer).
I'll only be out of pocket for return postage but it's still quite annoying. The seller hadn't made the greatest of starts on eBay, although I suspect this may be a 2nd account for another seller as it can't be a coincidence that almost all cadac products for sale on eBay come from Bangor in NI.
Take it you have logged it on the Ebay resolution centre? If you have then you'll be OK, although you have to pay the return postage you'll probably find that Ebay will send you a voucher to cover this.
The Cadac Safari Chef LP is a portable and versatile gas BBQ
I would think that the use of the word BBQ would intimate it to be complete and not parts, did you ask the seller any questions before purchasing? I ask as the feeback is low count before you purchased and now with 2 x negs.
