With all fears confont them ( not campsite).........lots of tears now she is very happy having showers.
Now we have a 5 year old worried about rain, more so on the tent, this has transfered to the house. She now paces up and down worried about rain, again 12 days in Devon should cure it.
------------- It's better to ask a silly question than make a silly mistake.
We've tried the visor shield things, they don't sit against the forehead properly and let water through...they are also a pain where they clip together at the back...we didn't get on with them at all, found letting her hold a dry sponge over her eyes was better. Mothercare used to do a doughnut shaped thing which was better, if you had the right shaped head!
Hope you have more luck with it.
I have to condition and comb my daughter's hair whilst the conditioner is on otherwise it's hell on earth combing it...she screams the place down too, so have every sympathy...and I've yet to come across a campsite with child friendly showers...fixed head showers are no good for small children.
Small inflatable paddling pool - mine is a Tesco value one, 2 quid at the end of last summer. Inflate in shower cubicle, fill, add bubbles, add child. Pull plug out when done and deflate. (tub, not child). There's a bit more room than in a trug, and round trugs do not fit into the exact science of packing my little car!

Don't worry, we only do that at quiet times! It doesn't take any longer than sticking them in a trug really. If it's a mad busy site they just stay filthy!

Trial run went well at home today, she allowed me to rinse her hair with shower and no tears Hopefully a time or two using it she will get over her fear of the shower altogether. Im a happy camper
