I can only say that after using the plastic deltas for a number of years ive never camped anywhere yet that I couldnt get them in the ground they are so tuff you can even drive them in with a lump hammer
2 years ago we were hit by gale force winds gusting up to 60mph (so the man on the beeb said) and out of 16 tents there were only 2 still standing us in our Vermont and a little Terra Nova tent. The only pegs to pull out were the 4 rock pegs used on the rear vents all the Deltas held firm
This year in the Jubilee week storms down in Dorset this time in our Nevada M with open canopy the Deltas held firm while the tent next to us lost its canopy over the fields complete with pegs
