Yes i was talking about a normal table top fridge, i was just worried about how long it takes for the gas to settle.
Thank you for replying

How long does it take for all the gasses to settle and the fridge cool enough to use ?
Never had to wait at all ... just 'plug and play' Usually cold within half an hour. I'm assuming this question was directed at normal compressor fridges?

Cheers Jean
We have a travel cool box thing that runs on 12v and looked at the 3 way fridge but they are twice the price as a table top fridge....
I can absolutely recommend this 3-way fridge, which comes in at £130 inc delivery.

An extra 40 quid over the Curry's one - but it's a 3-way fridge that works well on gas.
Despite the picture, the fridge is dark grey with a silver top. It also has a gas temperature indicator (the green band & needle type) , and (most important) works well in very hot weather.
It seems well made (every bit as good as Dometic - probably made by teh same Chinese factory -;) ) and is surprising roomy. It was over 30 degrees at Lincoln steam fair last Sunday, and cans of Coke were nicely chilled within 30 minutes of putting them on top of the evaporator.
I can honestly say that it compares favourably with any caravan/motor-caravan fridge we've used over the years - I was a bit sceptical at first, but I was pleased to be wrong.
No connection with the seller - but it's where we bought ours, and delivery was next day.
