Your allowed to think allowed muckers!! Your first pointer is what I am thinking off. Your initial thoughts are in my mind as well. Hence why the heater is never on through the night, because of carbon monoxide. The flame can flicker out, as well, especially when the pressure falls. The cannister is removed, when not in use. That goes for my stove. Therefore I don't consider putting myself at risk. I am also aware of fire. however nothing in life is totally risk free. I am still here after 6/7yrs of camping. Also I am too hot through the night, even in Oct and March, even when I have EHU fan heater, it's never on through the night. I prefer good decent bedding, and clothing with no heating, to having heating on through the night because I am too cold. heath63
