You can freeze the big 2 or 4 ltr milk bottles with water to help keep your cooler cold. Remember also that cold air sinks so if you use ice packs, put them on top of your foodstuffs for them to be the most efficient. Some campsites will allow you to refreeze your packs/bottles free of charge. Some charge but at least it allows you to camp without hook up thus opening up avenues not thought of before and without having to pay for hook up, the cooler will pay for itself.

I have a mobicool 32litre one. Works great we use it in Spain and it keeps every thing cold
