Just seen this post and thought I would put my opinion across. We got an aerobed duel zone active but after 3 uses it deflated so we returned to go outdoors to exchange and the guy did say they had lots of faults with them. Next camping trip we got the new bed out to realise it had no valves so slept on the floor , purchased some new valves as they were only cheap and surprise surprise it has lost all the air one side after 4 uses. Sent an email to aerobed 2 weeks ago and heard nothing back so will be returning the bed at the weekend for a refund and staying well clear !

We have a Aerobed that deflated on our last trip last week when me and my 4 year old were sleeping on it - not good!, I emailed Aero and had a reply the next day to say they are sending a new valve free of charge for us to try as there are no obvious punctures so no complaints with their customer service and hopefully it will work as we have only used it three times! However, because the bed was useless for the two nights we were there I borrowed 4 foam mats from friends we were camping with layered those up on the floor, sheet over the top then electric blanket and sleeping bags and we both slept like babies! If this valve does not work I will be tempted to ask for a refund and invest in SIMs instead!!

We've used a raised kingsized areobed for years and love it. As it's raised we don't have to struggle to get off it in the morning ( old age creeping up on us). The type we have inflates off mains but as we camp with no electric we use an inverter of the car socket to inflate it. Areobed sometimes have sales on which make the beds more affordable and from what I've read their customer service sounds good too.

+1. Ours is the Active Raised Double. Rechargeable (from mains) pump, or it runs direct off 12V. At 36cm high it does make getting up easier. It seems to be pretty consistent on aerobed.co.uk at £129.99. We got ours on Amazon for £75.

Love our Aerobed. Cant remember the model but it is a double bed with 2 separate inflatable areas. Great as I like the bed really hard and the Girlfriend likes the bed a little softer.

It is really really comfortable - so much so that I have used it in the house ahead of sofa etc.

We put a Lidl/Aldi picnic blanket under the airbed as a carpet and if cold put another blanket with the foil side up on top of the airbed.

We have tried everything from cheap airbeds, sims to camp beds and both! its aerobeds for us! I would swap my bed at home for this.

We have two aerobeds with detachable pump which can be mains charged! we have one each so i dont disturb my partner when moving lol.  We bought them last year when they were on there website at half price, think paid maybe £30 each.  Ok they are plastic/rubber and I think one may have a slight leak but when in use I just top the air up with the pump and ready to go again.  I wouldnt sleep on anything else. with the right insulation/bedding and pjs I cant recommend this set up enough however like others have said whats good for some is not for others!

Indeed, for us, the only plus with campbeds is they don't leak. They might take up too much room, or collapse, a double is no good for us, whatever, but they won't leak.

The thing with airbeds is that price is no guarantee that you'll get a leak free experience. Even the most expensive can and do leak. Still the only real option for us though. If ours goes, we'll repair it or buy another.

aero bed had the double dual zone on half price offer last week so went to go outdoors and got it price matched to £58.49 (rrp £129, normal go price £99)
